Free boiler for Cardiff resident

Mrs Marjorie Langley has lived in her home in Cardiff for over 15 years. The existing boiler had been installed in the property for over 25 years and was tired, inefficient to run and paying high maintenance charges, and the radiators were not very warm.

The Government estimates over 2.5 million households in the UK could benefit from free replacement boilers, and one of the first people to do this was Mrs Marjorie Langley from Cardiff.

After reading about the scheme Mrs Langley, 82, contacted WWCG to see if she was eligible for a new free boiler.

Once the team had carried out the necessary checks Mrs Langley was visited by a surveyor to establish that she was eligible for a new free boiler, and to plan the works. Installers from A&M Energy Solutions fitted the boiler and ensured everything was working properly.

I’ve lived in the house for 10 years, and the original boiler was becoming tired, maintenance was expensive and the radiators weren’t very warm” said Mrs Langley. “I decided to see if I was eligible, and I’m so pleased I did – I’ve now got a new boiler and the radiators are so warm, I noticed the difference as soon as the system was up and running. I’m very happy and glad I made the initial enquiry.”

Mrs Langley, who has had 2 knee replacements and finds it difficult to get around, also praised the workmanship of the installers “they worked solidly and were very acceptable. They worked until 9pm one evening to ensure the work was completed so that I wasn’t left without a boiler, and all the work was diligently inspected to ensure everything was in order.”
